NEWS: We Have Expanded
We feel very privileged to have been approached at the end of last year by a very well liked and well respected physiotherapist Liz Smith of The Vale Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic in Hickling, who after 33 years of practice at her clinic, had decided to retire both herself and the clinic from active service. She has expressed her mixed emotions in equal measures of sadness and happiness to be moving into what will hopefully be a more restful phase of her life! With a feeling of protection towards her loyal patients over the years as she does, she felt it important to find them and as many of the physios that work there a new home. We were in the position of being able to accommodate those patients that were happy to travel the extra 10-12minutes to our PEAK WELLBEING PHSYIO CLINIC in Radcliffe on Trent, and have been delighted to open the doors of and welcome the patients and physio’s from The Vale Clinic. We hope that they will all be happy in their new home.
A HEARTFELT MESSAGE FROM LIZ SMITH FOR PATIENTS PAST AND PRESENT - THE VALE PHYSIOTHERAPY
"Firstly, with real sadness, and more than 33 years after I set up the Vale physiotherapy and sports injuries clinic, I have to announce that my retirement - and the permanent closure of the Vale clinic at Hickling - took place at the close of business on 31st December 2019.
But, secondly, the really wonderful news: most of the clinics patients, past and present, can still continue to be treated by the individual physio they have come to know and trust, but (from 1.1.2020) at the very close and highly regarded physiotherapy practice of Peak Wellbeing Physiotherapy practice at 1 Main Road, Radcliffe on Trent.
Not only that, but you will even find your phone call being answered by the same familiar voices, as our 2 principle receptionists, Cathy and Claire, are excited to be jointing the Peak Wellbeing Team, too. By phoning the same Vale Clinic number (01664 822234) from 1st January 2020, your call will automatically be diverted to Peak Wellbeing, where your appointment will be arranged.
I strongly recommend any new patients to consider contacting the Peak Wellbeing Clinic, especially as the owners of that clinic adopt the same caring, professional approach to the wellbeing and treatment of their patients that I and my colleagues always espoused here at The Vale Clinic.
Peak Wellbeing is owned by two excellent, experienced and caring physiotherapists, Mike and Liz Whitehead, who are able to look after NHS patients, private patients and insurance cases, just as we have been. The premises are easy to find on the main road in Radcliffe on Trent (opposite Tesco Express) and also have their own allocated parking at the side of the clinic building. For many of our patients, that location will be even more convenient than The Vale Clinic.
Lastly, I would like to thank the thousands of patients who have been treated here over the past 33 years for their support and loyalty. It has been a pleasure to care for you all."
